The Game:
You have two chances to win each week by submitting your avatar for each of the two categories. A winner will be selected for each category per week, and those two avatars will become available for everyone to use.


The Two Categories:
1. Sparkworks - anything from the Sparkworkz game library (Super Stacker, Line Rider, Shape Shape, Fantastic Contraption etc)
2. General - anything you want using the theme as a guide

Rules:
1 entry per Category per post
unlimited entries per week
Nothing vulgar or inappropriate or copyrighted please :)
80x80 pixels
18k or less in size
JPG preferred, they will be converted.
Mods will pick best
Anything not chosen can be re submitted the next week.
Just as last time, contest ends on each Friday.
Best from each category will be chosen

This Week's Theme:
FIRE

Is it hot? Does it spread? Are things consumed? Are tongues involved? Does it taste like burning? Then it must be fire! Friend to campers the world over; bane of Frankenstein Monsters everywhere. Things have been heating up around here, quality-wise. So if you can't stand the heat, stay out of the competition. ;)

Winner will be decided based on which avatar is the most likely to melt The Captain's heart.

Here's my submissions for the general category. I may or may not submit more this week because I am being flooded with homework...

My entry is called "Flare" and there are two versions. They're mostly the same, but the backgrounds are slightly altered. Made in GIMP in approximately 10 minutes. Enjoy!

Hehe thanks. ^_^ I just googled photoshop fire effect tutorial and i played around with some settings. I will be adding flames to my graphics more often now... hehehehe... they really ARE cool effects. XD

If you do a search for "free drawing program" or "browser based drawing program", you'll find a lot of photoshop-like alternatives. Aviary is a good one, for instance. Or Gimp. I would recommend making sure other people vouch for the site though, so you don't stumble into something full of malware.

And yeah I do use Photoshop, but I also use GIMP.
